Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born in South London, England into a family of mixed blood. Her father is Nigerian and Swiss as well as her mother is English. She was born in the South London Council Estate, and then attended The Brit School aged 14. In London she attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in which her acting diploma was earned. In her time at the school, she performed in a variety of stage productions such as King Henry V's princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe first began her career as an actor with the film Storm Damage. In the years since, she's had appearances as a guest for Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's film debut was in Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), alongside Colin Farrell. Following this acclaim, she was cast as Elisha on the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as on six of the episodes Trexx and Flipside. In 2008, she was cast as Bambi who was the leading character in the ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was the main character in 2008's comedy How to Alienate and Lose Friends. She also appeared as a character in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path which was written directed by David Watson.
Madekwe first aired in the US in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama show ran on The CW for only two episodes, but it was ended. The actress was selected in February 2011 as Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe appeared in all episodes of the series' initial two seasons as an regular. But in May 2013, the news broke that Madekwe will be departing the show following her guest appearance on the first episode of the series' third season. Madekwe starred as Tituba on the show Salem from 2014 to the year 2016. In June 2012, she got married to her long-time partner actor Iddo Goldberg. Alongside Secret Diary of a Call Girl they have also worked in tandem on Salem and he had part in the show with her. the show on TV.
Ashley Leggat, an actress who was twice nominated for the Gemini Award, hails from an extensive Hamilton family. Her four older brothers were present as well and included twins Todd and Bram, Brett & Rob. All of her brothers were athletic and played baseball and hockey throughout the winter as well as in the summer. Her childhood was spent in stadiums and played baseball. Ashley did not have the ability to walk but she was able to dance. When she turned two-and-a-half she took up Baby Ballet and fell in the love. Ashley was addicted to dance immediately. Ashley continued to compete through high school graduation, at the top levels of competitions, such as tap, Jazz, Ballet and Pointe. She also competed in Acrobatics, Acrobatics Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop and many more. Top soloists at big competitions, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which were all given to Ashley.
