Dua Lipa is a English singer and songwriter who was born August 22 1995 in London United Kingdom. After having worked as a model her decision was to join Warner Bros Records and release her first album. The album peaked at number three on the U.K. Albums Chart and released eight singles, including Be the One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. number-one single New Rules which peaked at Six in United States. Lipa was honored with an award called the Brit Award in the year 2018, as a British Female Soloist and British Breakthrough Artist. Her album is recognized as platinum in several countries. Dua Lipa was born London on the 22nd August in 1995 to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. Her mother is Bosnian. Her ancestors can be traced back to Peja, which was a city within Kosovo. Her two great-grandparents are historians. Her brother is Gjin Lipa and a sister Rina. Lipa's father, the guitarist and lead singer of Kosovan the band Oda was a major influence on her music. In the family, her father would continue playing music which included his own compositions and songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics. Lipa started to sing when she was just six years old. In the teen years, she began singing in Sylvia Young Theater School.
