Rosie Huntington

RosieQueen Latifah was born Dana Elaine Owens, March 18, 1970, in Newark. Latifah was the second daughter born to Lance and Rita Owens. She is popular for her social involvement, acting skills and her ability to rhyme. At 8 years old, her cousin from Islam named her Latifah which translates to "delicate" as well as "sensitive" in Arabic. Latifah started singing in the choir of the Shiloh Baptist Church located in Bloomfield, New Jersey. Her first performance was when she sang "Home" in the role of Dorothy in a production of The Wizard of Oz at St. Anne's Parochial School. Latifah was impressed by her mother, who was in constant contact with the choir and the students. Mark James, the local disc jockey, was requested by Latifah to perform at the dance. Mark the 45 King to perform at a dance school.
